Urban Gleaners is a grassroots organization that focuses on food recovery in Portland. Our mission is to work within the local food system to bridge the gap between excess and access. We rescue wholesome food that would otherwise be thrown away from grocery stores, restaurants, farms and farmers markets and redistribute it to children and families at over 42 different free food sites across Multnomah and Washington counties.
