Potluck Christmas Dinner: Meal Service (all ages) *Holidays 2024*
Christmas Day Meal Service
Volunteers are asked to arrive at the Portland Art Museum no later than 11am.
Though this shift is titled "Meal Service," there will be a wide variety of task assignments. Please do not expect that you will be actually dishing up food.
You may find yourself greeting guests, distributing gifts, helping with the coat check room, running messages, or any number of other tasks! Please keep in mind that EVERY opportunity contributes to our guests' well-being and feeling that they are cherished at Christmas! Positions will be assigned on an as-needed basis when you check-in for your shift. Please note this process may seem slow but it is important we track all assignments as we go. We appreciate your patience in advance.

Each volunteer must sign up individually.

There is no team sign up option for this event.

Any volunteer under age 14 must attend with a parent or adult chaperone.

We welcome all volunteers, but request that every volunteer under 18 years of age have a parent or guardian fill out a Youth Waiver Form (click here to download) and bring it with them when they attend their shift.

Volunteers under 14 should be accompanied by an adult, and children under 12 should stay with 'their adult' throughout their shift.

If you are looking to register youth age 12 and under, email Hands On, handson@unitedway-pdx.org and we will place a "guest volunteer" underneath the registration of the adult.
NOTE: In order to better communicate with volunteers, Potluck in the Park regularly sends out mailers and newsletters.
