Opportunity Details

Sensory and Rain Garden Development (age 12+) *Impact Week*

Imagine Possibilities Center is a community based support day center for individuals who live with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We are located in Aloha, Oregon and serve the greater Portland Metro area. We offer meaningful day programming such as music therapy, horticultural therapy, yoga therapy, empowerment group, and life skills groups. We also offer numerous community inclusion activities.

Volunteers will receive a brief orientation of our garden areas and the tasks relating to their enhancement and development. Once the tasks are outlines, volunteers will choose which they would like to do, from laying a border on a new path, to moving products from one location to another, to fall clean up to the never ending weed control.

The work you will be doing is outdoors so please dress for the weather and for getting dirty. Closed-toed shoes are required. Bring your own gloves if you have a favorite pair; there is a limited supply on hand. Bring your own water bottle. Masks are optional, but please feel free to wear one.

DIRECTIONS & TRANSIT:
Enter at any of the 3 driveways to find parking. Closest bus is MAX #52, which travels down 185th. Gathering for orientation will be at the SMALLER of the two bright blue buildings.
