Mentor a Teen, Make a Difference! (age 20+) Referral

Male mentors needed! The Washington County Juvenile Department Mentoring Program supports the success of at-risk youth by providing them with positive one on one relationships with a caring adult.

Want experience working with youth or to just make a difference? The Washington County Juvenile Department is seeking caring adults to mentor at-risk youth ages 12-17. Mentors will spend 8 hours per month with their youth for a minimum of six months. Volunteers also have the opportunity to learn about the juvenile justice system, observe court, and go on ride along's with probation officers.

This is an opportunity to gain experience working with at-risk youth while making a difference in the life of a young person.

Volunteers have the opportunity to teach youth new skills, expose them to new opportunities, and to change the direction of their lives. All volunteers can also gain skills in working with youth while learning about the juvenile justice system.
