Beautify the Dreamer School (age 14+) *STW 2015*
Volunteers are needed to help in school-wide clean up and beautification projects at the culmination of the Dreamer School's academic year. Activities may include supporting teachers with classroom clean up and organization, cleaning the school grounds, gardening, etc.
"I Have a Dream" Oregon empowers students from low-income communities to thrive in school, college and career. We adopted the nation's first Dreamer School in outer SE Portland in 2010 and will provide more than 1,500 "Dreamer" students with whatever it takes to ensure their success, including: long-term relationships with caring adults, social and academic supports and college and career preparation from pre-k - college! All volunteers under 18 are required to bring a Hands On Youth Waiver signed by their parent or legal guardian. (print it now, fill it out, and bring it with you to save time during project check in).
