The agency is a Hands On Greater Portland Partner. While we do work closely to ensure that the project will be meaningful, it does not follow the same format as a Hands On-managed project.

Referral: Kids, Food, and Fun!

Agency: Hillsboro Family Resource Center

Description: The Hillsboro Family Resource Center (HFRC) needs you this summer to help serve meals and lead kids in fun activities! Between June 21st and August 12th the HFRC needs volunteers every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. If you can come out for just one day or would like to do this on a regular basis, this is a great opportunity for you! Interested? Select “Have Agency Contact Me” below.
In partnership with the Oregon Hunger Relief Task Force and the Hillsboro School District the Summer Food Program offers a free lunch and daily activities for children of all ages in the community. During the 2009 summer 220,015 meals were served at 45 sites in the county last year.

The Hillsboro Family Resource Mission is to enhance adult, children and families abilities to succeed in work, school and the community by providing information on a wide array of community resources available in Washington County.
