Interpreters Needed to Help the Low Income Latino Community! (age 18+) Referral
Would you like to use your experience as a Spanish Language Interpreter to help provide low-income Latino families with economic security?
El Programa Hispano Catolico offers free, culturally-specific tax preparation to low income, Spanish-speaking taxpayers, providing savings in tax preparation fees and a trustworthy alternative to unlicensed tax preparers. Last season our volunteers helped more than 1,000 taxpayers secure over $2 million in refunds!
We are seeking volunteer interpreters to provide language interpretation service four to five hours per week January 23rd to April 15th. Volunteer shifts will vary depending on need and availability, weekend and evening shifts are available. Previous Interpreter training and experience preferred. Since 1982, El Programa Hispano Catolico has provided a wide array of social services to low-income Latinos in the Portland metro area.
El Programa Hispano Catolico's mission is threefold:
