Spruce Up Hartley Elementary School (age 16+) *STW 2012*
Help Hartley School's SUN Program (Schools Uniting Neighborhoods) kick off the school year!
We'll work together to spruce up the school's courtyard/garden, as well as clean and organize select classrooms, create much-needed signage and class posters, and other miscellaneous projects. Join us and support this high impact program!
Through social innovation and a focus on prevention, Metropolitan Family Service (the nonprofit that runs Hartley School's SUN program) helps people succeed in school, at home, and in the community. MFS invests in individuals and families that struggle with the many barriers associated with cultural and economic disparities and is dedicated to building stronger communities by providing services, connecting people with resources, and offering volunteer opportunities throughout the Portland, Oregon region.
Note: Volunteers age 16-17 may volunteer along with a responsible adult.
Volunteers age 18+ are welcome to volunteer on their own.
