Help Beautify Open Meadow High School (age 10+) *CCD 2012*

Make the most of your Saturday morning by spending it at Open Meadow High School in North Portland. Volunteers will help spruce up the school in time for Spring by removing weeds and laying wood chips throughout the rose and blueberry bed, preparing the raised garden beds for planting, giving the school's two buses a deep clean inside and out, repairing bulletin boards, scrubbing down desks, and more to make the school shine!

Get ready to roll up your sleeves and know that your work will brighten the day for teachers and students who arrive on Monday for class!

Tools and guidance will be provided, but you're encouraged to bring along your own gardening tools if you have them (gloves, hand tools, shovels, rakes, etc.) Most projects will take place outdoors, so dress for the weather and wear closed-toe shoes.

Open Meadow's mission is to develop connection, capability, and confidence in disconnected youth through relationship-based, quality learning experiences that result in academic, personal, and community success.
