General Support Shift (age 16+) *PEC 2016*
Join us for an inspiring day! Volunteers will have the opportunity to connect with people in need from our community by supporting client intake, referral, and assistance; food preparation and serving; and other critical services.
When:
Friday, April 22, 2016
10:30am - 3:30pm
We need a lot of volunteers to make this event a success and we’re counting on every volunteer that signs up - please let us know if your availability changes after signing up.
Where:
This event takes place in Hillsboro, Oregon. You will receive the address of the event in a confirmation email after you have registered for a shift.
What to Bring/Wear:
Please try to limit personal belongings to what can be carried on your body or in your pockets. Although we may have a amall amount of space to store you personal belongings, please do not bring anything valuable or too bulky along with you, as space is limited and may not be attended at all times.
Please also wear comfortable clothes and shoes — it’s a big space and you could potentially do quite a bit of walking. We will be providing hot meals for the volunteers and clients, if you have any special dietary needs, you may want to bring your own food/snack along with you.
What to Expect:
Because we have a hard time predicting the turnout, we are asking you to remain as flexible as possible as we may need to shift you around to a variety of volunteer tasks during the course of the day. Thanks, in advance, for your understanding.

Project Requirements:

Volunteers must be 16 years of age or older to participate in this event; volunteers under 18 are required to bring a waiver signed by their parent or legal guardian. Please download, complete, and bring this waiver with you on the day of the project: Youth Volunteer Release Form

All volunteers must sign up to reserve a volunteer slot, including youth age 6 and up. Creating a Volunteer Team is a great way to reserve slots for multiple people. IMPORTANT: If you do reserve slots for multiple team members, it is imperative that each person signed up shows up. Spaces are limited and groups who don't show up can drastically reduce the amount of work each shift can accomplish.
