Join more than 2,000 of your friends and neighbors on Saturday, April 25th - Comcast Cares Day - a national day of service for Comcast employees and the communities they live and work in.

Flagship Site: Help Spruce Up and Beautify Glenfair Elementary School

Come lend a hand and be a part of beautifying Glenfair Elementary School in the Reynolds School District. Teachers will be in for a wonderful surprise when they return to school on Monday and see all of the awesome improvements volunteers have made to their school! Projects include outdoor gardening and landscaping, indoor and outdoor painting, washing windows, deep cleaning and organizing, creating birthday cards for seniors, and more! At the end of the project, all volunteers will be coming together for a thank you lunch onsite. We hope to see you on the 25th at Glenfair! Sign up here!

Have to work on Saturday? Not a problem! We could use your help in getting this large site prepped and ready for Saturday's big, 400+ volunteer project. Volunteers will help tape off the painting areas, and stage tools so that project groups will come in Saturday morning and be able to dig right in after the kick-off event. Bink-A-Thon with Binky Patrol

A Bink-A-Thon is an event where a large group gathers for one day to make as many blankets as possible to be given to a local shelter or hospital. There are stations set up for sewing, cutting, pinning, labeling and bagging of the blankets that will be delivered that SAME DAY! How cool is THAT? Come help make blankets and bring comfort to children and teens who need a reminder that they are not invisible, that they matter and that someone cares about them! Sign up here!

Spruce Up Miraflores Community Center with Hacienda CDC

Completed in 2009, the Miraflores community provides 32 units of colorful, dignified affordable housing to residents earning 30-60% of family median income, as well as 6 units of safe, secure and supportive housing for victims of domestic violence. Lend a Hand at Supa Fresh Youth Farm

Supa Fresh Youth Farm can use your help to get ready for Spring! Spend the morning planting, painting, and weeding at the Farm. Projects for all age groups (and playground on site for worn-out tiny humans), supervised by Supa Fresh Farm leaders. The youth farm is a safe haven work site for Tigard Tualatin students, and each year almost 100 youth move through their first work experience on site. The farm also supports the Hub (an alternative High School program on site) and the Bethlehem House of Bread (a food bank on site). Sign up here!

Volunteers are needed to help repack bulk food, sort canned food, label packages and complete mailing projects. Volunteers are also needed in the perishable repack room to help repackage quality food donations from local grocery stores or bulk frozen product. The mission of the Oregon Food Bank is to eliminate hunger and its root causes - because no one should be hungry. Sign up here!

Jazz Up the Jenkins Estate with Tualatin Hills Parks and Rec District

Take in the beautiful sites of the Jenkins Estate while giving back to the community! Help restore the 65-acre natural area and spread mulch throughout the gardens of the Estate and Camp Rivendale. This camp provides recreational opportunities for children and young adults who have physical and/or developmental disabilities. The natural areas have gotten a lot of tender loving care, so you can check out areas that have been restored and help us create some new areas to tour at the next project. Sign up here!

Celebrate Earth Day at the Native American Youth and Family Center (NAYA)

At the Native American Youth and Family Center we take pride in our outdoor spaces and use them as a way to connect with the land. We are especially humbled to be present on a former Chinook Village site called Neerchokikoo. As a way to connect with the history of the land we invite you to help us be the stewards of the land and tidy up our outdoor spaces. We will be clearing blackberry bushes, after a short composting workshop you will be building a compost area specifically for our kitchen to use, working in our Learning Garden and clearing out our Shaded Grove area. 2015 is going to be our biggest year yet at Zenger Farm! With the opening of the Urban Grange later this spring, we anticipate hosting a record number of visitors this year and volunteers are needed to help get the farm ready. From cleaning up the farm grounds to general site maintenance to weeding, planting, and invasive species removal to right of way improvements (e.g., making mulch paths) you'll help set the farm up for success during our busiest season of the year. You'll spend your day in the fields with the chickens, bees, worms and other critters that call Zenger Farm home. Sign up here!

Restore Wildlife Habitat with Friends of Trees

Spend a morning at the Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge caring for native trees and shrubs and benefiting wildlife habitat! Activities will involve mulching already planted native trees and shrubs to prepare them to thrive during the dry and warm summer months.
