Make Your
Summer Count!
Are you
13 to 21 years old and . . .
-
fulfilling community service graduation requirements?
-
enhancing your resume or college application?
-
looking to meet
new people?
-
interested in
building a stronger community?
Volunteering is the answer!
This summer it's easy, fun and rewarding
for you and your friends to get involved! The Summer of Service
program, which is open to all volunteers age 13 through 21, is a great way
to get involved, meet other young volunteers, learn about
issues in your community and even win great prizes!
**Sign up now
for August volunteer projects - the Summer of Service
Program ends on
Sunday, August 31st!**
Here's how it works:
Step 1:
Download a
Volunteer Service Certificate
and track
each time you go out on a Hands On Greater Portland
volunteer project. For every
three projects you participate on, you will be entered in a
drawing to win great prizes
(winners will be drawn after August 31st, 2008).
Step 2:
Use the
Project Calendar
or the Teen Volunteers Page to
sign-up for
projects.
Step 3: Sign-up for a Volunteer Leader training to learn about
volunteer management, develop
your leadership skills, and meet others interested in
leading projects. Interested in attending a Volunteer
Leader training? Contact
Lydia at
lydia@handsonportland.org.
Step 4: Get out and volunteer!
